Aces Star Candace Parker will be out indefinitely after undergoing successful surgery on a fractured leg. according to a release from the squad early Tuesday morning.
The statement from Las Vegas said Parker had been playing through a broken leg all season but recently consulted with the team’s medical staff and opted to have surgery rather than risk further injury to her ailing leg.
The veteran big man has started 18 games for the Aces this season after coming over from SKY in free agency to join the defending WNBA champions. She is averaging 9.0 points and 3.7 assists per game on 46.5% shooting from the floor.
