Diablo 4 Necromancer Blood Surge build explained
The Blood Surge build is one of the Diablo 4 builds that allows you to create a character that is resilient and capable of dealing a large amount of damage to your opponents. Of course, as you can guess directly from the name of the building, it mainly refers to the Blood Surge ability to defeat groups of enemies or for single targets, it is very effective in both cases.
As for the defensive part of this Diablo 4 Necromancer Blood Surge build, we rely on Fortifying our life by stealing it from enemies, as well as Blood Orbs that allow us to heal. To reduce the damage done to us, we advise you to use the Decrepify ability, combined with the Iron Maiden ability, which allows us to restore our essence very quickly.
By now, it should be clear that paying close attention to talents is one of the most important components of developing a construct. It’s important to carefully choose the talents that best suit the build you want to build because there are so many abilities that can be applied to a class in Diablo 4. For use with the Blood Surge Necromancer build in Diablo 4, the following abilities are recommended:
- Hemorrhage Level 5
- Increased bleeding
- Beginning of hemorrhage
- The level of blood growth 5
- Increased blood flow
- Paranormal increase in blood
- Sliced meat level 3
- Deprecate level 1
- Improved decrepification
- Abominable destruction
- Embrace of Death Level 3

- The main bone storm
- Storm of the Supreme Bones
- The power of Rathma
The skills listed above are the most important ones that you absolutely must learn if you want your Necromancer Surge Blood build to be effective and efficient. Below are a few others, however, that we still advise unlocking:
- Stay alone Level 3
- Remember Mori Level 3
- Lifeless energy
- Imperfectly balanced Level 3
The Paragon progression system, which gives you access to a wide range of Blood Surge building talents, can be entered after your character reaches level 50. In terms of stats such as Damage, Intelligence, Stamina and Life, it is advised that you prioritize Normal and Magic Nodes. As you gain levels, Ghyphs area of effect increases. As a result, if you cannot meet the requirements, we do not recommend sharing more nodes. On the other hand, if you lack the necessary Glyph, you are free to equip any Glyph until you do.
The Blood-drinker-Glyph will be used in the starting board slot, and if the radius is large enough based on the Glyph’s level, you will gain the additional Intelligence needed to get the bonus modifier. For the starting table, we’ll grab just about every rare and magical node possible. Once you’re done, you’ll exit the board.
The Bloodbath board will be introduced next. The Legendary node is what we’re rushing here, and we’re picking up every rare and magical node along the way. As we move to the slot where we will insert the Territorial Glyph, the same process is followed; if radius allows, you’ll also get the extra nodes to get the bonus modifier.
In Blood Begets Blood, our third board, we’ll put more emphasis on collecting Rare and Magic nodes, as well as slotting where to place the Dominate Glyph than we did with our previous board. As always, you should get the additional bonus if the radius allows you to buy the required amount of willpower. Once these are collected we will get the legendary node before moving right for the final table.
Bone Graft Board is the last. Instead of grabbing the Legendary board right here, we’ll use this one because it gives us another slot and more Rare and Magic nodes. Before moving on to the socket where we install the Sacrificial Glyph, it is advisable to first collect the Magic and Rare nodes on the upper side. The increased bonus in this case does not apply to additional investments.
In terms of game mechanics, this build is not difficult to use. First, we recommend using the Blood Surge ability to eliminate weaker enemies and single targets. If you are low on Essence, we recommend using the Iron Maiden skill, while for one-on-one fights, we recommend the Hemorrhage skill. Additionally, we also recommend using the Decrepify skill to reduce the damage that enemies can deal.
For completeness, we tell you that it would be optimal to use the Blood Surge skill when you have at least four enemies around, so that you can maximize your healing and use less Essence. For this reason, we advise you to collect enemies until you have reached the minimum recommended number and then you can use the skill.
Because it’s more effective at building up your blood growth, having a weapon that deals more overall damage should be your top priority. If you find a 1-handed weapon with a higher item power, keep in mind that it may perform better than a 2-handed weapon when used with a hand weapon or even a shield, because shields reduce the weapon’s main hand with 80%. The stats to watch out for are as follows:
- poison
- breast
- Gloves
- + Overwhelming damage
- + Attack speed
- Pants
- Boots
- + Movement Speed
- + Essence cost reduction
- Amulet
- + Queues of blood tides
- + Essence cost reduction
- Ring
- + Life
- + Overwhelming damage
- 1H Skopje
- + Overwhelming damage
- + Vulnerable damage
- + All statistics
- shield
- + Life
- + Essence cost reduction
