Paul Pierce dismissed a bold comparison between his career and that of Dwyane Wade during an appearance on Cam’Ron’s talk show.It is what it is.
Pierce wildly suggested that if he had been in the same situations as Wade throughout his career, he would have multiple NBA Finals rings to his name. The 45-year-old suggested his career was underrated, claiming he was a better offensive player than the Heat legend, but that Wade was stands out.
“Put it down Shaq [O’Neal] in my team. Put LeBron [James] AND [Chris] Empty with me. Won’t I win one?” Pierce asked. “You put me, LeBron and Bosh… we’re not going to win a couple?”

“For a long time, my skills were underappreciated because I didn’t get to play with a lot of great players,” Pierce continued. “And then I got to play with KG and Ray [Allen] past their prime. Four years ago you put me, Ray and KG together, you think we won’t leave with three “ships?”
Despite his various statements about Wade, Pierce made it clear he wasn’t trying to discredit the soon-to-be Hall of Famer’s decorated career.
Wade was a three-time NBA champion, a 13-time All-Star and an eight-time All-NBA selection. However, if the circumstances were reversed, Pierce thinks he could have been just as successful, if not more so.
