The humble sedan isn’t seeing much love these days. Most are being phased out, clearing factory production lines to make room for more and more SUVs. But for Mercedes-Benz, luxury sedans are life, and the E-Class is one of the longest-lived.
For the 2024 E-Class, Mercedes-Benz hasn’t radically reinvented this stoic sedan, giving it a refreshed look and some new, more efficient hybrid-powered engines. But more interestingly, the new E is loaded with cool tech tricks and toys that, at least for now, are only found in Mercedes’ mid-level option.
The E-Class is the first Mercedes car with a selfie camera and the first car in the world to offer TikTok, WebEx and Zoom right there on the dashboard. All this, coupled with advanced highway driver assistance plus all the luxuries you’ve come to expect from a Mercedes, makes for a sedan that’s perhaps a little too stable for some, but will be bang for the buck for many.
